On April 24, USC Student Health hosted Mindful Movie Night at McCarthy Quad, featuring Pixar’s Inside Out 2 and an interactive ‘Mindful Moment’ activity. Students crafted “Feelings Wheels,” explored mental health resources, and enjoyed snacks, raffles, and meaningful conversations under the stars. The event offered a thoughtful break before finals and highlighted the importance of emotional well-being and community connection.

The film’s blend of humor and heartfelt moments resonated with the crowd, sparking post-movie conversations about change, growth, and self-care.

“The movie reminded me that change isn’t something to fear,” said graduate student Ishita Gopal, ‘it’s part of growing into who we’re meant to be.”
The event, held just before finals, provided students with a meaningful pause—and set the stage for future wellness-centered gatherings.
Mindful Movie Night is co-hosted by the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, held on campus April 26-27, 2025.
