New Year, New Ideas — What Happened to You? by Dr. Bruce D. Perry and Oprah Winfrey

Join Dr. Deirdre Logan, the chair of the trauma-informed care committee of USC Student Health, and Dr. Michelle Dexter, Counseling and Mental Health Services clinician and instructor of “The Science and Practice of Building Resilience” undergraduate course at USC, in an exploration of how we build resiliency as we recover from traumatic events.
We’ll use the book, “What Happened to You?” by Bruce D. Perry and Oprah Winfrey as a starting point for an engaging community discussion.
Learn more about the common experience of toxic stress, understanding adverse childhood experiences (or ACEs, for short), and the movement to build trauma-informed practices in our college environment.
