An Evening of Relaxation and Learning Sleep Skills
An event in partnership with Calm.
Drift into better sleep with an evening of relaxation and expert tips! Learn essential sleep skills, hear a live celebrity bedtime story, and unwind with a soothing sound bath. Plus, enjoy calming refreshments, snacks, and dreamy giveaways.
But that’s not all—witness the big reveal as we crown this year’s Most Relaxing Professor!
The Top 3 finalists are Dr. Michelle Dexter, Dr. Broderick Leaks, and Oliver Mayer.
Judges will select the top winner who will then collaborate with Calm to record a Sleep Story. Join us to find out who takes the title!

Activities and refreshments open at 6 PM, program starts at 6:30, sound bath begins promptly at 7:30. Beach towel seating available to early arrivals (while supplies last), students are also welcome to bring a yoga mat for the sound bath.
Student event attendees will receive a 3-month trial subscription to the Calm app and a souvenir sleep mask (available while supplies last).

Sophia Bush
Actress, activist, director, podcaster and producer
Sophia, known for her character of Brooke Davis on the hit TV series One Tree Hill(2003–2012), is a producer, director, and co-host of the podcast Work in Progress. She is also featured as a Sleep narrator on the Calm app and promotes self-care practices to make healthier choices for a vibrant life.

Buddy Macuha
Soundbath Practitioner and Emcee
Buddy specializes in calm techniques-yoga, meditation, soundbaths and strength training. Buddy is also a Master Certified Life Coach helping clients uncover their strengths to achieve personal goals. Buddy’s diverse background and passion for movement make him a versatile and inspiring figure in the wellness community.

Dr. Joyce Adesina is board-certified in internal medicine, specializing in sleep medicine.

All public health programs available to students are made possible through participation in the USC Student Health Fee (SHF). Public events are open to all USC students; USC Student Health operates its programs in accordance with USC’s notice of non-discrimination.
